Psychologist. Consultant. Facilitator. Speaker.

Meet Dr. Alaina Spiegel

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with an expertise in facilitating customized workshops that prepare leaders with the strategies to identify and support employee distress or emotional challenges.

I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology from La Salle University and my postdoc from University of Pennsylvania, with a specialty in outreach and prevention. I have worked as a psychologist at Penn’s counseling center for 10 years, providing therapy for undergraduate and graduate students. I am currently the embedded psychologist for Perelman School of Medicine and the Mental Health Intervention and Programming Specialist. I have trained thousands of people in Penn’s i care program, a training that provides skills and resources to help students in situations of stress, distress, and crisis. At Penn, I have also developed videos (i share) and online mental health programs (be aware) which help people recognize signs of stress/distress/crisis, learn skills to help themselves and others, and connect with support resources.

Supporting your well-being and the well-being of others can be challenging, vulnerable, and rewarding all at once. With a decade of clinical and facilitation experience, I can help you lean into uncomfortable conversations and practice skills to promote a healthier, connected, and more effective workplace culture.
